RULES SPECIFIC TO ROLEPLAYING
I. YOU ARE ROLEPLAYING AS YOUR CHARACTER - NOT YOURSELF.
Your roleplayed emotions should be your character's emotions, not your own - the same goes to the people roleplaying around you. If someone's character is rude to your character, do not fret as it may be apart of their character's personality. There is no need to hold a grudge on them because of what their character did in the roleplay.
II. DO NOT POWERPLAY OR MAKE A DISPLAY OF UNREALISTIC ACTIONS OR BESTOW UNREALISTIC TRAITS.
It's simple - only roleplay as your character and only your character. When roleplaying, keep well within your means and do not attempt to control another's character (e.g. "Koa bit her opponent and then slammed her before he could get a chance to respond and prevented his next attack which he failed to execute." You should let the other take their turn first.) or completely overkill the roleplay. (e.g. "Koa bit the spine of the creature and killed it.") Please avoid the use of literal powers; there is to be no flying, invincibility, super-speed/strength, etc.
III. PLEASE LIMIT YOUR CHARACTER TO BE PRESENT IN ONE THREAD AT A TIME.
Avoid posting in the same area at the same time; if your character is leaving, please say so. Additionally, is recommended that, if you are traveling from the den to let's say, Nakhodka, you roleplay the action out by at least taking the path (a few threads' worth) to get there.
IV. WHEN CHALLENGING OTHER WOLVES...
To emphasize the aforementioned note, in-character fighting/argumentation is reasonable, but please keep it realistic and within the same, reasonable bounds. It is not recommended to challenge figures of authority (e.g. council members or The Last Ancient), but you may attempt to argue with them, and are welcome to see if you would win. (;
V. REMAIN APPROPRIATE IF YOU CHOOSE A MATE OR DECIDE TO HAVE PUPS.
You may have mates, but please remain appropriate. Having a mate is a privilege, not a right. You must notify Loup or Chance when you and your partner have officially stated that they are mates in the roleplay; you MUST EACH purchase a mate license from the shop (https://wolvesofsikhotealin.forumotion.com/t72-earning-tiger-claws-learn-spend-here#899) to do this, and it must be mutual. From there on you must stay as mates; you cannot leave your mate unless you leave the pack or kill off your character and change to another one. You can only de-mate a character if you BOTH purchase de-mate licenses at the shop. Mates are only allowed on this site - they are not allowed on the WolfQuest forums nor WolfQuest Multiplayer. If you and your mate would like to have pups, please notify Loup or Chance first. You must purchase a pup at the shop; each pup will cost you, and you must secure someone to roleplay the pup before doing so. (If YOU are the mother/father and want to roleplay as the pup, you can, but you'll need to purchase a second character. Note that your main character and your pup character will NOT be able to interact back and forth (e.g. basically creating a situation where you are roleplaying with yourself), so that is why we recommend securing someone else to roleplay the pup for you). Loup or Chance must receive confirmation from this individual in order for the purchase to be approved. For them to finally become a pup, they either (a have to purchase a character change (change their main or secondary character), or (b create a secondary character if they do not have one already; this also must be purchased from the shop.
VI. YOU MAY ROLEPLAY IN ANY POINT OF VIEW.
You may roleplay in any point of view that you wish. Whether it be in first person, second or third, it is your choice and you may change at any time. We strongly recommend third-person.
VII. DO NOT BRING TIGERS INTO THE ROLEPLAY YOURSELF.
Tigers/large predators are only to be brought into the roleplay by The Last Ancient, Council Elders, and The Seeker. Tigers can be lethal, so imiting their presence in the roleplay is for the sake of your characters. You may purchase an override in the shop.
VII. WHEN CHANGING CHARACTERS/PURCHASING/USING A SECONDARY CHARACTER...
If you want to change characters, you must purchase a character change from the shop. If you would like for your character to die instead of leave, your character must die by a tiger. (This is the only way to get around bringing a tiger into the roleplay without purchasing the "bring tiger into roleplay override.") If you do this, you must make your intent apparent (e.g. in the beginning of your post, say that "I am changing my character and want my character to die"). After your character dies, everyone (for now) will still be allowed to interact with said tiger until The Last Ancient, Council Elders, or The Seeker decides that enough has transpired. Your character will be commemorated by either The Last Ancient or a Council Elder, and such shall be accomplished with a small speech, an anecdote, and the ceremonial phrase, "(insert name here) has unfortunately met death by tiger." YOU MAY ONLY CHANGE CHARACTERS EVERY THREE MONTHS. * If there has already been some recent tiger conflict (e.g. within a span of two weeks or less) and your character did not die in the conflict because you have just now decided to change characters, it is required that you wait at least a month after said conflict. If you would like to CREATE A SECONDARY CHARACTER, note that you can have a maximum of two (2) characters at a time, with one (1) being your main character, and the other being one (1) secondary character. Secondary characters MUST be used with second accounts, and MUST be purchased before a new account has been created. Secondary characters CANNOT be promoted to positions of authority.
